Recognition
Events
Recognition events are held at various times throughout the year, to engage the professional caregiving community and acknowledge their contribution to the field of caregiving. Recognition events focus on equipping caregivers with self-care and workplace strategies, aimed at rejuvenating those who extend care to others as a profession.
"All who would win joy, must share it; happiness was born a twin." - Lord Byron
Examples of past events include luncheons and dinners at Bow Valley College, in May and November of 2006. Caregivers were recognized for the difference they make to the families of caregivers (May) as well as strategies for experiencing joy in the workplace (November). See our “Resources” and “CQC Community” pages for more information and pictures of these events.
