Lifelong Learning
Events
"Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well." - Voltaire
BVC hosts a variety of events for Health and Community Care (HCC) students and staff of these programs. In December 2006, several BVC Health and Community Care programs were treated to a “Royal Treatment” week, which consisted of 4 different Lunch and Learn sessions, including Tai Chi, Yoga, Art and Brain GymTM. All events were sponsored and students were recognized with a small gift, in addition to door prizes. See our Resources and CQC Community pages for more information and pictures of these events.

PROUDLY PRESENTS

Michelle Cederberg
Exposing the
Myth of Life Balance
A
realistic and humorous approach to getting more
time,
energy,
and
enjoyment
out
of life!
As
a recognized life balance strategist and fitness motivation expert, Michelle
motivates her audiences to take realistic steps toward more of the things we
all want - achievable life balance, time for fitness, heightened stress 'defense,'
and the energy and confidence they bring!
75% of Canadians don't believe that work-life balance is possible.
We're working more than ever, spending less time with our friends and
family, and inevitably watching our health and happiness drift away.
So
maybe it's true? Since we spend more time looking for balance than we do
experiencing it, perhaps success comes from approaching life-balance with a
new strategy? In this session Michelle exposes the myth of work-life
balance and reveals the real
secret to success. With Michelle's humour and 'start small' approach you
can find more time for the things that matter, and learn practical and
realistic tips for moving toward better balance.
