Workplace Essentials Skills at BVC
At Bow Valley College, part of our mission is to help learners achieve work readiness by the time they graduate from their program of study. To achieve this objective, learners have the opportunity to acquire specific subject matter knowledge, develop the necessary technical skills for working in the field, and reinforce the literacy and essential skills used to find information for solving complex problems or completing a range of workplace tasks.
The Workplace Essential Skills at Bow Valley College (WES at BVC) training program is an opportunity for career program learners at Bow Valley College to receive timely feedback on their levels of essential skills as they begin their program of study. If additional skill building or a skills refresher is required, leaners can attend training to improve their skills. The WES at BVC training program is a college funded initiative aimed at assisting adult learners in reaching their full potential while studying and learning new skills at Bow Valley College.
