MyBVC Student WiFi Information

Bow Valley College offers free wireless internet (WiFi) access to students from anywhere in North and South campus in Calgary and at many of the rural campus locations including Okotoks, High River, Airdrie and Canmore.

Students are required to login to the 'eduroam' wireless network with their student e-mail and password.

The username and password for the wireless network are the same as the username and password used for the MyBVC student account and D2L.

**Note: if you have your MyBVC student account password reset, you will need to enter your new password on your mobile device to continue using the WiFi services on campus.

The username and a link to set a password for the MyBVC student account are sent by the registrar's office by email or letter after registration is confirmed.

MyBVC Student Account passwords can be reset here using email.

Once the password is reset, an email will be sent to the personal email account provided to the college with the username and a link to create a new password.

The new password must comply with the password security rules listed below.

Student account password security rules:

  1. The password cannot contain your name, student ID # or birth date.
  2. The password must be 8 characters or more.
  3. The password must contain 3 of the 4 following:
    1. Lowercase letter
    2. Uppercase letter
    3. Number
    4. Symbol (eg. !@*&)

If you need help connecting a wireless device please bring your device to the Computer Support desk on the second floor of the RGO LLC in the North Campus Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

After 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday, phone the BVC Help Desk at 403 410 1611 for  assistance. Check the BVC login page for Help Desk hours of operation.

*Staff and faculty have access to the wireless network 'BVC' and are required to login to the network to use it. Staff can contact the IT department for assistance. Staff who need access to the MyBVC network can send a request to the helpdesk.
