LEAD

The LEAD (Leadership Experience and Development) Series is designed to provide BVC students with an opportunity to take part in various workshops and volunteer opportunities that will build their student life experience on campus and enhance their leadership and life skills.

Acknowledging the academic and personal commitments of students, the LEAD series is developed to offer a variety of learning and volunteerism at your convenience. To complete recognition in the LEAD series, you are required to attend a minimum of 5 workshops (usually 1 hour long) and participate in a minimum of 10 hours of campus volunteerism.

June 13  Workplace communication and body language  - How to communicate in the workplace, specifically for newcomers to Canada.

June 27  Natural Nutrition - Healthy snacks on the go, on a budget! 

July 11  Impactful Presentations - Get your audience's attention from the start and keep them engaged throughout your presentation.

Upon completion of the minimum Recognition Requirements (or at your request further than this), you will receive:

  • A LEAD Participation Certificate signed by the Director of Learner Success Services
  • An official Bow Valley College letter stating your participation in the LEAD Series and a detailed account of the workshops and events that you took part in
  • An invitation to a Recognition Lunch

All BVC Students are welcome and encouraged to participate in the LEAD Series.
