BVC Cares

Bow Valley College cares about Calgary and our local community. We invite staff, students, and alumni to volunteer at quarterly events and help support non-profit organizations with the manpower to achieve their goals. 


Upcoming Events

LinkAges - Canada 150
TStudents are invited to pair with a senior to work on an art project celebrating Canada. No artistic experience is necessary. Art could be in form of a painting, drawing, writing, dance, songs, poems, photo, essay etc.  
Date & Time:            Every Friday for 6 weeks from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. starting March 3, 2017 ending April 7, 2017

LinkAges - Tablet & Technology Training  
Help seniors with using tablets and other technological devices.

On-going Events

LMC - Diabetes & Endocrinology
Volunteer activities include:
- Placing reminder calls to remind patients of their appointments
- Putting together handout folders for diabetes education classes
- Tracking class attendance
- Creating displays and handouts on various diabetes related topics
- Other activities as needed

Childcare volunteer needed. Must have experience in childminding and valid police check.
