Bow Valley College announces new Director, Strategy, Risk, and Project Management
Tuesday, August 9, 2022 (Calgary, AB) – Bow Valley College is pleased to announce the appointment of Colleen Huber as its first Director of Strategy, Risk, and Project Management.
Under this newly created position, Ms. Huber will oversee strategic and operational plans to align with College priorities. She will be the lead program and project manager for all strategic and tactical initiatives. Ms. Huber will also provide oversight in the area of enterprise risk management.
Ms. Huber will work closely with Bow Valley College’s executive team, deans, directors, and managers to identify and prioritize business initiatives. In managing strategic processes and setting annual plans, she will ensure there is alignment with the goals, objectives, and pillars of the Government of Alberta.
Most recently serving as Senior Project Manager, Compliance and Change Specialist, Ms. Huber has been with the College since 2015. Her experience spans more than 20 years in the private and public sectors, with roles in leadership, project management, business analysis, testing coordination, training and instructional design, mediation, and facilitation.
“Ms. Huber’s expertise and leadership skills will prove invaluable in this new role,” says Vaughn Ravenscroft, Vice-President, Corporate Services and CIO, Bow Valley College. “She is passionate about the College and the strategic direction we are headed in.”
During her time with Bow Valley College, she has overseen key projects, including Student Information System Implementation, Curriculum Management Implementation, cyber security tasks, PCI Compliance, implementing a secure video counselling platform for students, and contract management.
