Bow Valley College Becomes a UNESCO-UNEVOC Centre
CALGARY - Bow Valley College has become a UNESCO-UNEVOC Centre, and a member of the UNEVOC Network. BVC's International Education Team, College Executives, and guests will host an official launch and celebration at the College on October 4, 2016.
BVC is the only individual post-secondary institution in Canada to become an UNESCO-UNEVOC Centre. As a Centre, we will become a focal point for the provision of services and platforms for national, regional and international cooperation in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
The College will also join the UNEVOC Network, which is an exclusive global platform for TVET. The Network's aim is to assist UNESCO Member States to develop and strengthen their TVET knowledge through sharing, collaboration, and joined activities. The Network also provides the Centres with a chance to participate in e-Forum discussion, and in face-to-face meetings with other Centres who share similar interests and concerns.
