New South Campus Grand Opening
Bow Valley College is proud to unveil the new South Campus. Home to a unique post-secondary collaboration, the BVC South Campus is an educational hub in the heart of downtown Calgary. Here, Athabasca University, Olds College, and the University of Lethbridge have their Calgary operations, offering a gateway to education with laddering opportunities for even more students.
"We're building Alberta for the future by investing in infrastructure like Bow Valley's South Campus project," said Premier Alison Redford. "It's going to give thousands of students a leg up as they learn new skills that will allow them to reach their full potential in Alberta's workforce."
First breaking ground in June 24, 2009, the South Campus features 23,000 sq. m. and seven stories, with a private +30 Skywalk connecting the North and South Campuses together across 6th Avenue. Plus, the building addresses the needs and expectations of today's multigenerational BVC student, providing an additional 50 classrooms to study, a fourth-floor patio and roof-top gardens, student services, and a convenient location right on the CTrain line.
